Hair
I have always loved big volume hair which luckily works with my hair type-fine with lots of body. I get it colored and highlighted (balayage) every 8-10 weeks and have been going to the same colorist for about 20 years. I have bought salon grade hair products a few times over the years but I always go back to my tried and true Pantene which I have been using for as long as I can remember. Their Color Preserve Volumizing Shampoo is fabulous and beats any other volumizing shampoo that I have tried.
Over the last few years I noticed that the texture of my hair was changing and I was now having issues with lots of frizz at the ends- which I thought were split ends. I bought every repair product out there and none of them worked. I then saw a hairstylist on social media talking about how to get the frizz out of your hair by using TRESemme all day humidity resistance hairspray on wet hair then blowing it dry. I rushed out and bought it along with their Repair & Protect 7 Instant Recovery Mask and Pre-Styling Spray. I absolutely could not believe my eyes! My hair looked smooth, shiny and full without using any kind of volumizing mouse! No more frizz! Of course I rushed out and purchased their Volumizing shampoo system but my results were not as good as when I used the Pantene shampoo so I will be sticking with that.
Based on some reviews I recently read I added a great new product to my hair arsenal. It is a little pricier than what I would normally spend but it is soooooo good and sooooo worth it! Living Proof Full-Volume Blast- it gives me incredible volume without having to over back comb and hairspray my hair. It is especially great for really humid days. A more affordable version is Garnier Texture Tease. It can be hard to find in stores but if you do find it I highly recommend you give it try.
I use all of the products linked below. The only product I use daily that is not listed is my Frederic Fekkai Classic Brush. It is only sold in their salons and the full size one is $100. I never thought I would spend that much on a hair brush but I still have my first one that I bought 17 years ago and still use it. I have bought several brushes over the years that "looked" the same but none of them were even close to a good substitute, so I recently bought another Fekkai in case they ever discontinue them.
